Farm Hounds Ranks No. 273 on the 2022 Inc. 5000 Annual List
With Three-Year Revenue Growth of 2,005%, Farm Hounds receives Ranking No. 273 Among America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies
SMYRNA, GA, August 18, 2022 – Inc. revealed that Farm Hounds LLC is No. 273 on its annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in America. The list represents a one-of-a-kind look at the most successful companies within the economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent businesses. Facebook, Chobani, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.
“Farm Hounds is thrilled and humbled to be recognized among America’s fastest-growing privately held businesses,” says Jean Finney, CEO, and Owner. “Our growth is due to our loyal customers who recognize and appreciate the quality and transparency of the products we sell, which are sourced directly from family farms. Our farm partners represent the best in farming, including applying regenerative agriculture concepts to help the planet, practicing animal welfare to honor the animals they raise, and supporting their communities with organic, locally-grown food.”
Farm Hounds sources protein products across the US and dehydrates the products into single-protein, single-farm treats and chews for dogs. What sets Farm Hounds apart from competitors is their commitment to working directly with family farms and being transparent about sourcing with their customers. The family farms, which they refer to as their farm partners, are selected based on the quality of their farming practices. With transparency and quality being paramount, the connection to the farm partner is maintained throughout the processing and dehydration process and is communicated to their customer with each product.
Farm Hounds supports their farm partners by purchasing parts of animals that are nutritious but do not have a human market component. Feet, heads, and necks are just a few of the products that are nutritionally beneficial to dogs. Farm Hounds sources these products and more, supporting no-waste practices and providing another revenue stream for family farmers.
Farm Hounds has grown quickly in its short 5-year history. Their Farm Hounds branded products are sold directly to customers on their website and are sold in over 600 independent pet retail stores across the US. The company is also moving into the private labeling and co-packing services business.
“We are excited about continuing to grow our brand in the direct-to-consumer area while also recognizing that we have just scratched the surface in the independent pet retail store space,” states Finney. “Our focus on working with small and larger family farms who practice regenerative agriculture has us uniquely positioned to expand our footprint beyond our brand and significantly grow our business while positively impacting the planet.”
